Download Free The Emergence of the Fourth Dimension PDF by Mark Blacklock Full Book and published by Oxford University Press. This book was released on 2018 with total page 246 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The idea of the fourth dimension of space has been of sustained interest to nineteenth-century and Modernist studies since the publication of Linda Dalrymple Henderson’s The Fourth Dimension and Non-Euclidean Geometry in Modern Art (1983). An idea from mathematics that was appropriated by occultist thought, it emerged in the fin de siècle as a staple of genre fiction and grew to become an informing idea for a number of important Modernist writers and artists. Describing the post-Euclidean intellectual landscape of the late nineteenth century, The Emergence of the Fourth Dimension works with the concepts derived from the mathematical possibilities of n-dimensional geometry—co-presence, bi-location, and interpenetration; the experiences of two consciousnesses sharing the same space, one consciousness being in two spaces, and objects and consciousness pervading each other—to examine how a crucially transformative idea in the cultural history of space was thought and to consider the forms in which such thought was anchored. It identifies a corpus of higher-dimensional fictions by Conrad and Ford, H.G. Wells, Henry James, H.P. Lovecraft, and others and reads these closely to understand how fin de siècle and early twentieth-century literature shaped and were in turn shaped by the reconfiguration of imaginative space occasioned by the n-dimensional turn. In so doing it traces the intellectual history of higher-dimensional thought into diverse terrains, describing spiritualist experiments and how an extended abstract space functioned as an analogue for global space in occult groupings such as the Theosophical Society.
Download Free The Fourth Dimension PDF by Rudolf Steiner Full Book and published by SteinerBooks. This book was released on 2001-04 with total page 338 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The point, line, plane and solid objects represent the first three dimensions, but a kind of reversal of space is involved in the ascent to a fourth dimension. Steiner leads us to the brink of this new perspective--as nearly as it can be done with words, diagrams, analogies, and examples of many kinds. In doing so, he continues his lifelong project of demonstrating that our objective, everyday thinking is the lowest rung of a ladder that reaches up to literally infinite heights. The talks in this series and the selections from the question-and-answer sessions on many mathematical topics over the years are translated into English for the first time in The Fourth Dimension. They bring us to tantalizing new horizons of awareness where Steiner hoped to lead his listeners: Topics include: The relationship between geometric studies and developing direct perception of spiritual realities How to construct a fourth-dimensional hypercube The six dimensions of the self-aware human being Problems with the theory of relativity The Trinity and angelic hierarchies and their relationship to physical space The dimensional aspect of the spiritual being encountered by Moses on Mt. Sinai Cover Image credit: Light refracted through a small sample of water while under vibration. From a series of experiments in Cymatics, by Dr. Hans Jenny. Download Free The Fourth Dimension PDF by Dayalanand Roy Full Book and published by Brown Walker Press. This book was released on 2021 with total page 202 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Einstein shocked the world by revealing that time can be different for different observers. This book offers a possible explanation of why it is so. It offers a never-attempted-before approach to understand the secret of time. As we all know, there is an intimate relationship between time and age of objects. But what is this relationship? The author dives deep into the possible relationships between time and age of objects- animate or inanimate- and, in turn, emerges with a novel concept of time- time is a measurement of age. The book proposes that time is acquired by age, not required for it; and thus, time is an acquired property of objects. The author also proposes that just as length, width and height are the measurements of physical extensions of objects (their three spatial dimensions) and not any independent entities; time too, being the measurement of their age, is not independent of objects. In this sense, time seems to be the fourth dimension of objects instead of space. The book attempts to justify its hypothesis by testing its compatibility with Theory of Relativity. Also discussed is the meaning of the so called passage of time and the arrow of time on the basis of the model of time proposed here. The meaning of the much debated concept of time-travel is thoroughly discussed here and it is proposed that this concept, in the sense that we usually take, is a myth. Even if you can manage to reach your future by overcoming all technological limitations (as we all know, theory of relativity allows it), all your friends will be there with you, witnessing the same future. The only difference will be- your clocks will not agree with those of your friends.

Download Free A Primer of Higher Space (the Fourth Dimension) PDF by Claude Fayette Bragdon Full Book and published by Cosimo, Inc.. This book was released on 2005-01-01 with total page 88 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Think of the fourth dimension, not as a new region in space... but as a principle of growth, of change... -from "The Fourth Dimension as Time" This 1913 treatise on the intersection of the mystical and the mathematical implied by Einstein's 1905 special theory of relativity is now considered a classic of philosophical physics. Claude Bragdon here first proposed the now mathematically commonplace concept of the "hypercube," or four-dimensional cube (he incorporated 4-D designs into some of his architectural projects), and explores his radical and provocative ideas about the mathematical structure of the universe. Complete with a gallery of Bragdon's gorgeous line drawings illustrating higher space, this is a truly mind-expanding experience. Other works by Bragdon available from Cosimo Classics: More Lives Than One, The Beautiful Necessity, Architecture and Democracy, and Episodes from An Unwritten History. American architect, stage designer, and writer CLAUDE FAYETTE BRAGDON (1866-1946) helped found the Rochester Architectural Club, in the city where he made his greatest mark as a building designer with structures including Rochester Central Station, Rochester Institute of Technology, and the First Universalist Church; he also designed Peterborough Bridge in Ontario. In later life, Bragdon worked on Broadway as scenic designer for 1930s productions of Cyrano de Bergerac and Hamlet, among others.

Download Free Victorian Literature and the Physics of the Imponderable PDF by Sarah C. Alexander Full Book and published by University of Pittsburgh Press. This book was released on 2015-06-15 with total page 256 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Victorians are known for their commitment to materialism, evidenced by the dominance of empiricism in the sciences and realism in fiction. Yet there were other strains of thinking during the period in the physical sciences, social sciences, and literature that privileged the spaces between the material and immaterial. This book examines how the emerging language of the “imponderable” helped Victorian writers and physicists make sense of new experiences of modernity. As Sarah Alexander argues, while Victorian physicists were theorizing ether, energy and entropy, and non-Euclidean space and atom theories, writers such as Charles Dickens, William Morris, and Joseph Conrad used concepts of the imponderable to explore key issues of capitalism, imperialism, and social unrest.

This book was released on 2021-07-05 with total page 186 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Late in 2016, the scientists, with a little help from the big LHC, the particle accelerator down in Cern, finally concluded that there are no physical particles to be found inside this universe!! Meaning only energetic oscillating fields was to be found! Can you even grasp that thought, that everything in this universe, is absolutely anything but being this postulated 3-dimensionally and fully physical universe, that you thought you could understand, and that you have been educated in? Everything you believed this universe to be, does not exist at all!! You don't find anything inside this universe, that is only 3-dimensional and only fully physical! And everything you did not believe in, is the universe we actually live inside, with only energetic oscillating fields! We live inside a paranormal universe with 5 very active quantum physical dimensions! It is actually these two quantum physical dimensions, the 5th and the 4th, that really runs the show! We can only see, discover and detect this universe inside the 3rd dimension, and that dimension is "the quantum physical screen" of the universe! This is where the Higg's field is operating with the funny universal stuff, a stuff that can be there, disappear and reappear again! That leads us into the stealth technology and the physics behind the famous stealth plane, the new 5-dimensional quantum physics! The only kind of believes, and the only kind of education today, lies inside this 3-dimensional and fully physical standardized big bang model and physics, and all of that is a big lie! That was the final conclusion from the big LHC down in Cern! This very famous and shocking discovery actually proved my new 5-dimensional model, by proving the energetic oscillating quantum physical atom, that lies in a 5-dimensional spacetime. My new 5-dimensional quantum physical model and totally new physics was theoretically fully proven already in 2012! Then the big process writing down all of this new philosophy and theory! Out of that, came the new 5-dimensional quantum physical physics! Very different on any level! This new model matches Einstein's extended relativity theory and can be understood as a Pier Review with Einstein's 5-dimensional model. It explains the gravity, the differentiated expansion, explains the very big inflation, and many more hidden secrets of the universe! Read about the Author, and the book, and understand how this universe was created and how it functions!

Book excerpt: "An imposing edifice of thought. Every one of its twenty chapters will richly repay careful reading. Those passages dealing with ethics, love, the significance of knowledge, and the meaning of life are hard to surpass." - New York Evening Post The title of this book, Tertium Organum, boldly refers no less to a reorganization of all knowledge, but it is primarily a study of psychology, more specifically the psychology of our higher mind. For Ouspensky what we can call the higher mind represents, within a single person, the development of an entirely new way of understanding. In short, psychology is the art of self-study. With remarkable scope and sophistication, Ouspensky shows us in this book, which has been hailed as "a work of genius," just how vast and strange our universe really is.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The author is a simple traveler in time, like the rest of us, that has a message to give to all, who can understand. Who the author is, and what universities he attend, is not important, only the message that he has delivered is. The content of this book is beyond just passing on knowledge and information to the reader. Within the pages of this book, the reader will obtain, alone with knowledge and information, understanding and wisdom. The understanding of the message being given, and the wisdom to know, how and when to apply it to your everyday life. The author is you, me, and the rest of us. All of us, who is searching for a message that can help us in our relationships, in today's world. What's important is the message that's being given and if it's being received and understood. Then, the knowledge can be reviewed to see, if it's applicable to apply in our lives, in today's society. All understanding and wisdom comes from a higher source then ourselves. The messenger or author is only a conduit, that is unattached to the source of the understanding and wisdom being given, and is there only to pass the message alone. Alone to all, who may find the message helpful in their lives and relationships with each other, in the world we live in today. Remember, the messenger is not important, it's the sender who is.
Download Free Virtuality and Humanity PDF by Sam N. Lehman-Wilzig Full Book and published by Springer Nature. This book was released on 2022-01-01 with total page 341 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This is a pioneering study of virtuality through human history: ancient-to-modern evolution and recent expansion; expression in many fields (chapters on Religion; Philosophy, Math, Physics; Literature and the Arts; Economics; Nationhood, Government and War; Communication); psychological and social reasons for its universality; inter-relationship with "reality." The book's thesis: virtuality was always an integral part of humanity in many areas of life, generally expanding over the ages. The reasons: 1- brain psychology; 2- virtuality's six functions — escape from boredom to relieving existential dread. Other questions addressed: How will future neuroscience, biotech and "compunications" affect virtuality? Can/should there be limits to human virtualizing?
